Chinatown Market Honors Batman Converse Chucks 70 Superhero Shoes
Chinatown Market uses a glow-in-the-dark treatment on Chuck 70’s premium canvas to bring Gotham City to life like only they could.
If October’s six-piece celebration of the Caped Crusader’s 80th Anniversary wasn’t enough for you Batfans, Chinatown Market has linked up with Converse to deliver two more tributing Chucks, each sporting their own unique finish.
Converse x Batman x Chinatown Market Chuck 70 High Top, LONG LIVE THE BAT. Chinatown Market adds to Batman’s 80th anniversary collection with the Chuck 70 high top. A 3D-printed, glow-in-the-dark Gotham skyline and classic, illustrated Bat Signal gives black canvas new dimension—all while paying homage to the Caped Crusader as a movie and comic book icon.
One arrives in jet black graced with a Gotham City skyline printed overlay on both sides. The lateral, however, is illuminated by the infamous Bat Signal — and we mean that literally. The pair sports a glow-in-the-dark finish on the City’s call for help, along with select lit-up windows and the CM tongue branding. Completing that pair are special graphic insoles, white midsoles, and toe caps and black rubber outsoles. The second pair has got us seeing double (also literally) that is, until you pop on the included 3D-glasses. The white canvas pair sports all-over motifs from comics of years passed, including super villain Harvey dent and vintage logos. Like the glow pair, these also arrive with CM-branded tongues, graphic insoles, and white/black sole units.
